In this video, Dr. Ryan talks about his own experience of Back Pain since high school, which worsened over the years. A turning point occurred during a chiropractic visit in 2009, where an adjustment exacerbated the condition. An Xray revealed an injury, with the chiropractor warning of potential wheelchair use by age 30. Subsequent treatments to alleviate pain were unsuccessful, leading to a period of Spinal Instability and limited activity. Two years later, a followup Xray and MRI showed further deterioration in the spine, indicating increased friction and wear on the Affected Disc.
Dr. Ryan took the matter into his own hands to get better and worked towards it for the next few years. An Xray in 2023 showed noticeable improvement, with increased space between vertebrae and reduced back pain. He attributes this improvement to Posture maintenance and Core Engagement, highlighting the importance of Muscle support in Spinal Health. He warns viewers to be wary of the white coat syndrome and urges them not to be influenced negatively but to use it as a learning experience. The Xrays from different time points illustrated the progression from Spinal Instability to improvement, achieved by focusing on the correct Posture and Core Engagement.
The video highlights the significance of Posture, Core Engagement, and seeking knowledge from various sources in managing Spinal Health. He hopes his journey from Pain and Instability to improvement and Recovery sends a message of resilience and determination to others facing similar struggles.
