You asked for a PINK Painting! Here it is :)!
Today, I started working on a 60 by 90 CM canvas with a color palette inspired by one of my students from my Botanical abstract painting course. It's an old pink rose palette that I absolutely love. I had to mix every color myself since I didn't have them readymade, which is something I enjoy. I began by wetting the canvas and choosing to start with one of the softest colors. I mixed permanent red violet, red oxide by Golden, and some white to get a beautiful rosy old pink color.

Working with this palette is a bit of a challenge for me, especially since I'm used to greens. Plus, the canvas is a different brand than I'm used to, which makes a difference when working with acrylics. I aimed for a certain composition, adding a touch darker color next, and then decided it was time for some gold. I found that some areas painted light pink were hardly visible, so I added a very red pink shade to lift the mood a bit. I also thought about adding some white and maybe a touch of green or Indian yellow for contrast.

Finally, I thought a dark reddish purple could really finish it off, adding that needed contrast. I ended up really liking the mix of colors and decided to keep it like this, maybe adding a bit more soft pink to some white parts. And that's it, the end result of today's painting session.
