When I began learning Brazilian Portuguese in 2001, I didn't just want to get fluent in the language. I wanted to BECOME BRAZILIAN! From drinking all night with samba friends in Rio de Janeiro's favelas, to learning to play bossa nova music, to parting with some of Brazil's most famous pop stars, my Brazilian adventure was definitely one of the most thrilling periods of my life.

In this video, I share the three key things I did to get fluent in Brazilian Portuguese (my third foreign language after French and Spanish), and the lessons you can apply in your own language learning adventures.
