How I graft my most favorite fruit tree - Japanese persimmons
This method of chip bud grafting was made possible from root stock springing up from Japanese persimmon trees on my property that sent up their roots close by. This often happens if a persimmon tree is cut or blown down. Not long after their demise they sent up shoots. Get scions from healthy trees and start grafting in spring.
