Today we're going to take a look at some issues I was having with an old level 2 EV charger we bought a few years ago for our Ford Fusion Hybrid Energi. The charger was a Juicebox Level 2 15kW Charging Station but it was the base edition with no display whatsoever. It did come with the J1772 32A 25ft Output Cable.

Eventually it died seemed to be a short in the cable, because if you twisted it just right, it would work again.

So I contacted BougeRV to see if they'd let me take their latest level 2 charger for a spin.

The Level 2 EV charging cable charges three times faster than the 12amp charger that came with our car.
They advertise 7.2KwH, but i got somewhere closer to the 15KwH range, which equates to approximately 23 miles per hour of charge.
Has a standard J1772 charging protocol, works with most types of electric vehicles and even a Tesla with the adapter they give you.
Has overvoltage, overheat and overcurrent protection and will show you everything on the display of the charger.
Comes with a 25 foot cord that's long enough to run the length of an average garage and it has a 1year warranty
