About this video:
My cat has been sick and is unable to go through her spaying surgery. In the meantime she has been through a couple of heat cycles. since there are tomcats / male cats roaming outside the house, her cycles can last quite long and become very intense. Even when all the windows and doors are locked, the last time she was in heat, it lasted almost 3 weeks which almost drove me insane! I am exhausted, had sleepless nights.

Through online recommendation, Ive been giving her more attention, playtime and petting. Although there are days where playtime did not even deter her from yowling/caterwauling. There are suggestions of acupressure which I've tried as a last resort but doesn't usually work.
Since she seem to be really uncomfortable, most of the time, its a lot of petting and giving her lots of attention through the day and night.

Calm my cat in heat with belly rubs
At last, by accident, giving her belly rubs or ngpelvic rubs/ rubs that go from belly to her pelvis area has seem to soothe her quite a bit. She stops yowling and also give lots of appreciative meows and slow blinks. I believe the heat from the rubs and the massage comforts the sore in her pelvic area. I would thinka heating pad while massaging her would be very beneficial. Sometimes the belly rubs last 10 minutes before she falls asleep.

I also once put her in a warm bath and she quiet down when usually she hates baths. She needs to be held in the bath and reassured many times. Most of the time, when the heat cycle is not at its peak, belly rubs work. The intensity of the rubs depends on the intensity of her heat. She also has now learn to love bellyrubs even when she's not in heat!
