In sim racing we're so used to driving fast cars. From Assetto Corsa and iRacing to Forza and Gran Turismo, we're always in high horsepower, high downforce, slick tyred monsters. These cars are great, but newer drivers often forgo learning the fundamentals of driving fast in sim racing. They don't set the foundations they need to actually become a decent driver. Learning to drive slow cars may actually make you a faster driver.
