How drivers legal experts and insurers feel about driver-facing cameras

While drivers are mostly opposed to driverfacing cameras, opportunities do exist with the technology.

It’s no secret in trucking that most drivers aren’t big fans of having driverfacing cameras in their cabs. The argument many drivers give, and perhaps with good reason, is that the truck is their home and they feel like their privacy is being invaded by having cameras turned toward them.

New research released this month by the American Transportation Research Institute dove into the issue of driverfacing cameras and how they are perceived not only by drivers, but by legal experts and insurers, as well.
