Like if you have diabetes, control diabetes well, keep the sugar under the control, if you have blood pressure, control blood pressure. At Stage 4, where 60%70% of the kidney is damaged, specific medications such as ACE Inhibitors and Angiotensin Receptor Blocker exist which prevent further progression.
