My name is Maddie. I've been living and traveling across Mexico for almost 5 years. During that time, I spent a year living in Queretaro with my thenboyfriend. After a pretty messy breakup, I decided it was best to move elsewhere which landed me in Guadalajara/Ajijic, Jalisco for the past 9 months.

Since I'm still not sure if Jalisco is the right fit for a solo female like me, I'm still looking for my next longterm home base in Mexico. However, it occurred to me...maybe I should start looking for a house to BUY in Mexico instead of renting!

Of all the places I've spent extended time in Mexico, I felt the most comfortable in Queretaro. So today, I've traveled back to the city I called home for 1 year to start looking at real estate to buy.

The houses I'm viewing today range from $144,000 $255,000 USD. I tried to see a variety of properties in Queretaro in various neighborhoods to get a better idea of how appealing or feasible it would be to buy a house.
