Honey and Oat Hot Process Soap for Beginners

Welcome to my video for those of you who are beginners to the hot process soap making method. I hope you enjoy my honey and oat soap recipe! You can use any soap recipe for hot process soap making, but the method is particularly useful for recipes that contain hard butters and/or waxes.

Recipe details
Total oil batch 1000g
Superfat 4% (calculated into the overall oil weights)
35% lye concentration for the lye/water solution

Olive oil 600g
Castor oil 80g
Coconut oil 100g
Almond oil 100g
Cocoa butter 100g
Beeswax 20g
water 250g
sodium hydroxide 135g
1 teaspoon kaolin clay
1 teaspoon titanium dioxide (oil dispersable)
1.5 tablespoons oat flour
1 tablespoon of honey, mixed into 1 tablespoon of water
20 grams honey fragrance oil
