These shelves were cut out of black cherry logs that were blown down during a wind storm here in Iowa. They were rough cut using a chainsaw, then air dried over the winter. They are twisted and crooked. Using a shimmed skid and a planer will true up the shelves to where they can be cut to fit, finished, and mounted on a wall. Part Two will include the mounting methods.
