Robert Burns's lyrical descriptions about Scotland's goldbubbling fountains may have been an exaggeration, but gold was mined in Scotland since the middle ages. Scotland even experienced its own gold rush in 1869. This twopart video gives an overview of the history of gold exploration and mining in Scotland.
