Heart disease in cats is EXTREMELY common but quite underdiagnosed in cats. The most common heart condition in cats is called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, this is shortened to HCM. HCM can lead to heart failure, among other consequences which I will tell you about in this video. This was a difficult video to film, unfortunately there are no good things to say about HCM or heart failure in cats I went and hugged my cat tight after this one.
