A quick breakdown and explanation of how a roller furling system is assembled and how it functions.

This particular unit/brand is a Profurl, from a Leopard 43 catamaran, But most systems are very similar in their construction and function.

The main reason I replaced this particular unit is because the bearings in Profurl units aren’t particularity high quality, And tend to be fairly stiff from day one.
I replaced it with a much higher quality/performance unit a Bamar C3.
