Rahul Dravid's marathon innings of 270 in the third Test against Pakistan, in Rawalpindi, is the longest innings ever played by an Indian in Test cricket. His 740minute stay at the crease bettered Sunil Gavaskar's record of batting for 708 minutes while scoring 172 against England at Bangalore in 198182. He now figures twice in the top 10 list of longest individual innings for India.
