If you’re from the Harrogate and Knaresborough area and want to find out more about your region’s film history, Monday 19th September 2022 is a date you won’t want to miss! We’re heading to Harrogate to bring you a fantastic new screening of archive footage, specially curated from the collections held in our vaults.
Commissioned by the Harrogate Civic Society and Harrogate Film Society, please join us for an unforgettable programme featuring the people, places, major events, and everyday life in the historic town of Harrogate and neighbouring Knaresborough during the 20th century.
Through a mix of amateur, professional, and television collections, our 90minute community screening will open a window onto the film heritage of the towns over the decades, and even includes rare footage of the opening of the Odeon Cinema, our venue for the event.
