Harley Softail has the one engine no other Harley has in what is known as the B motor. Harley doesn't make changes unless they are forced to. One of the ways Harley will change something is when it comes to style. The Harley Softail has a unique frame and look, the rubber mounting system just wouldn't fit in the Harley Softail frame. With the Harley Softail engine they mounted the engine in a rigid configuration with the Softail engine having internal counter balancing. The Harley Softail B motor is a real give and take but it does provide a slightly different ride.
