In midspring, once the winter cold ceases to be a risk for cattle, shearing sheep is one of the tasks that farmers and shepherds occupy. Before mechanical and electrical machines were introduced, hand scissors were used for this task, which had to be perfectly sharp in order to cut the wool well. José Pérez, the ironworker of Hecho, in 2012, forged us a manual cattle shear in his blacksmith shop in Hecho (Huesca).
