Welcome Kashi! At long last, there is finally a hamster cutie running around in the new Rainforest themed DIY cage. It's been a long wait and many of you asked to see her reactions in the new cage, so this video shows some of that footage! I had debated for a long time on which tank to use initially. The desert tank is smaller, but the downside is that it's quite a bit harder to access for cleaning and taming. I set it up more as an extra play area, but not something that would get require daily cleaning. Depending how Kashi tames, I may change my plan for future hamsters and start them off in a smaller tank and work up. Oh, and to be honest I was also slightly impatient to have a hamster in new DIY cage. Lol! She definitely is using and enjoying all of the space and things to do!
