Move the brown lever to the left to clamp the violet workpiece.
The clamping process is as follows:
The jade shoes move the yellow sleeve to the left.
The yellow sleeve pushes the three red pins inward with its inner conical surface.
The red pins push the pink guide and the blue collet to the right.
The inner conical surface of the green body presses the four petals of the collet to clamp the violet work piece.
Move the brown lever to the right to release the violet workpiece.
The chuck is locked in the clamping position by the small taper angle of the yellow sleeve.
The collet does not get stuck when the lever is in the nonclamp position thanks to the large taper angle of the blue body.
This chuck can be operated without stopping the spindle of the lathe.
