Growing trees in our Greenhouse in the Snow

Follow
Rustic Cedar Homestead

The trees we are are still alive (mostly) after spending their first winter growing in our Greenhouse in the Snow. Hindsight, we probably should've waited to grow trees in our geothermal greenhouse, until the whole system was complete. As it stands the geothermal tubes that run eight feet underground are in place and the blowers are installed, we just don't have power to them yet. So these fruit trees withstood some serious temperatures here in on our northern Minnesota homestead. It had me feeling a little (or a lot) defeated and overwhelmed, but Joel jumped in to make it like it never happened. He did an awesome job removing the standing water, pruning the fruit trees and weed whipping. You'll see Joel use his tree pruning skills on:

Bearss (Persian) lime tree
Valencia orange tree
Meyer Lemon tree
Elberta peach tree
Cold Hardy avocado tree
