How to Grow Clematis from Cuttings
This will not work every time but, if you start a dozen, you may get a few new vines.
The video provides a quick overview and you will need the full instructions on my blog to see the stepbystep photos and get the cuts right.
The cuttings are trimmed (see blog post), dipped in rooting hormone, and planted in moist compost. After a few weeks, some will form roots. Clematis is prone to viruses so don't fret if your cuttings wither and die. Just try again another time.
