How to get rid of slugs in the garden? Get a few ground beetles!

Last spring I managed to spot a carnivorous ground beetle Eucarabus ullrichii on a hunt. This species often forages on various snails which is what I wanted to capture on video. The beetle relies on external digestion. It masticates the prey's body with its massive mandibles while it secretes digestive fluids into the prey which dissolve internal tissues. Then the beetle feeds by sucking the partially digested fluids out. Yummy, huh?
