Shortly before sunset in Denali National Park, a moose defends her two calves from a hungry grizzly in the Spring. This scene played out for about an hour. Recorded with a Canon DSLR.

Update (December 2021): This video was up for a number of years before I noticed it was starting to get large amounts of views so I'll address a couple of the comments I've seen below. I had changed out the audio when i put these clips together due to some people talking nearby during much of the encounter. I didn't have video editing software knowledge at the time and I agree the volume is much too loud. Unfortunately, I'm unable to adjust it now without replacing the video and losing the view count sorry. For those wondering if the bear caught up to the moose calves no, not while they were in sight. After the moose took the calves through the river, the bear lost the scent and was running in the opposite direction as the encounter ended. So thanks for watching. Despite the age of this video, I'm glad some people are still enjoying the moment.
