Persian Grilled Chicken, or Joojeh kabob, is a delicious and flavorful dish that is perfect for a summer barbecue or any time of the year. Here is a recipe to make Persian chicken grill at home:

Ingredients:

2 lbs. chicken
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground black pepper
1 tsp. turmeric
1/2 tsp. saffron (optional)
Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
Instructions:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, turmeric, and saffron (if using). Mix well.
Add the chicken pieces to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly in the marinade. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours for best results.
Preheat your grill to mediumhigh heat.
Thread the chicken pieces onto the wooden skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 1012 minutes, occasionally turning, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred on the outside.
Serve the chicken hot with rice, salad, and grilled vegetables.
