Greenheck. Building Value in Air. At Greenheck, every dedicated outdoor air system undergoes extensive endofline quality testing by our experienced technicians, prior to leaving the factory. An endofline test is the most effective way to ensure a fast and troublefree startup when the unit arrives at its destination.

Configurable commercial HVAC units, designed to deliver high amounts of outdoor air, can be more complex to install and operate, than standard rooftop units. Greenheck makes it easy. Ensuring a simple startup when the unit arrives on site is critical for the convenience and safety of your project team. “Going hot!”

At Greenheck, we take a number of safety measures before starting the test. We begin by checking the wiring and running a high voltage test to confirm electrical integrity. Using our proprietary testing software, Greenheck test technicians are able to manually control the unit to check every component and ensure a reliable operation. All compressors are run to verify that operating pressures and temperatures are within specifications.

Then the refrigeration circuits are pressurized, and held at 475 PSI for a minimum of 30 minutes, and a final leak check is performed. The refrigerant charge is balanced as needed. Next, all mechanical components are cycled through their entire range to ensure proper operation. If equipped, furnaces are set to high fire, “Ok, overriding into low.”

then low fire, and cycled through their full range, verifying operation. Fans are checked to confirm proper rotation and proper RPM, ensuring they meet design airflow. Dampers are cycled through their full range, for specified operation, for a complete movement. Based on the unit's configuration, all optional accessories are checked and verified, including enthalpy wheels, sensors and other devices.

Finally, preengineered control sequences are then loaded into the controller with factory defaults assigned. Our test technicians program and test the variable frequency drives, and finally verify sensor wiring and functionality. Each factory endofline test takes about 90 minutes to complete. After endofline testing, each unit undergoes final inspection before leaving the Greenheck manufacturing facility.

All told, depending on configuration, each unit will undergo between 100 and 400 different quality checks during the manufacturing process. This commitment to quality reduces onsite installation time. Making your startup reliable, quick and easy.
