Grand Canyon from Flagstaff | What to do in one day In Grand Canyon when starting in Flagstaff

Visiting Grand Canyon

Howdy, folks! If you've only got a day to explore the Grand Canyon from Flagstaff, don't fret. I'm the Canyon Cowboy, a fella from the 1800s, here to show you a whirlwind adventure that won't waste a single minute.

Starting from Flagstaff, steer clear of them long lines at the main entrance. We'll take you on a rollercoaster ride through the canyon. Along Highway 89, lush landscapes make buffalo beards jealous, and desert sights will make tumbleweeds envious.

Our first stop? The Cameron Trading Post. Their Navajo tacos are fit for a cowboy king, and the hidden courtyard's a desert oasis. Along the 64, we'll come across the Little Colorado River Gorge, higher than a buckin' bronco with scenery as pretty as a lone coyote's whistle.

Next, the Desert View Watchtower. It's like standing at the edge of the world, designed by Mary Colter, giving you a bird's eye view of the whole shebang.

We'll hit the canyon village with stops at Lipan Point and Grand View Point. Consider the geology museum if you've got time. Teddy Roosevelt even shot a moose thats still in El Tovar Hotel's lobby!

Take a quick hike down Bright Angel Trail, and don't be one of those 70% who never go below the rim.

Stick around for sunset at Hermit's Rest. When the sun dips down, head back to Mather Point or Hopi Point for a canyon masterpiece of light and shadows.

Once it's dark, start moseyin' back to Flagstaff on Highway 180, holding on to them memories. And remember, there's more wild and wonderful places awaiting you.

Don't forget to subscribe for more entertaining adventures. Below you'll find a website with resources, itineraries, and deals on everything from lodging to grub around the Canyon. Until next time, see ya on down the trails, my friends!

This channel's all 'bout the Grand Canyon, offerin' y'all tips once you're in the Canyon with mustsee stops, watering holes, and places to rest along the way.

Me and my trusty steed, Jackpot, were explorin' the Canyon back in the 1800s, fell into a timewarp, and somehow ended up in the 21st century!

To top it off, Jackpot's spirit somehow got trapped in a contraption they call a "Jeep."

Weird, but true...

Cutting to the chase to make a buck, I started guiding folks through GC. One day it was suggested, "You should start a YouTube Channel!"

So, here we are!

We got videos that essentially act as trail maps from Las Vegas, Phoenix, Flagstaff, and more!

All you gotta do is watch and check out VisitingGrandCanyon.com if you wanna rope yourself some deals on tours, beds, adventures, and the best grub around these parts.

So, subscribe▶ ring the bell and keep in the know...

See ya on down the trail!
