New for 2020 Gotrax has released an electric commuting scooter which at under $400 looks to be a serious competitor in the escooter game. Boasting an 18 mile per charge range, this electric scooter is set to beat out (or cannibalize) it siblings, the Gotrax XR and XR Ultra. The Gotrax XR series is the newer, sleeker designed electric commuting scooter from Gotrax...the upgrae from their original GXL models, the V1 and V2.

In this unboxing of the GOTRAX XR ELITE COMMUTING ELECTRIC SCOOTER you'll find the scooter itself, charger, allen key, control console as well as the user's manual and quick guide. The assembly process is fairly straight forward with one major difference, The battery does not live in the till, but rather it resides under the deck creating a more centered and balanced electric scooter. I was able to assemble the scooter in about 20 minutes (and that's me being super careful as i often tend to break new things when assembling them), but you should be able to get it done in about 15 minutes.

Could the GOTRAX XR ELITE COMMUTING ELECTRIC SCOOTER be the best electric scooter of 2020? Well it's certainly one of the more affordable ones. But to find out, I will be conducting my own review of this scooter which you can find here (once i complete it)
