Aging female gorilla Nene's children (Ai and Kiyomasa) are gaining weight daily. On the other hand, Nene looks thinner than ever. However, her appetite does not seem to have waned and she is eating well.
Daughter Ai is watching her aging mother, perhaps worries about her.
It was a very touching scene, and although they did not say a word, I could imagine what they were thinking.

Nene is the oldest female gorilla in captivity in Japan. She is estimated to be 51 years old, which is about 8085 in human years.
She belongs to the Shabani Troop at the Higashiyama Zoo in Nagoya, Japan.
