Hi, Crushers!
Google My Business keeps growing and becomes more than ever a very powerful business
tool.
No business can underestimate its control over potential new customers and a constant stream
of local business traffic.
You should also keep up with the latest changes to GMB and think about how you can use them
to better promote your brand online, in fact, Google keeps rolling out several new features and
attributes in Google My Business (GMB).
If you’re running a local business, you need to know about those updates so you can get the
most out of the platform.
In today's video, we’ll check out 3 recent changes to Google My Business that you need to
check out.
1) Google Adding Stars to Review Snippets
Just right next to the "popular times section" Google is showing star ratings now in the review
snippets section of the Knowledge Panel. In our opinion, Google is surely testing how certain
elements are impacting the CTR metrics. Showcasing great 5star ratings in the review snippet
section is surely a great way to stand out in organic search and positive customer reviews and
high ratings are shown to build trust among prospective customers in all industries.
2) Google allow users to "Add a photo" from the Review Snippets section
Directly from Google search, next to the Review Snippets section, is now possible for anyone to
add a photo directly from the knowledge panel section. Google is now more than ever using
photo AI technology, to understand more about what a business is and what a business has, not
just what the content from your web pages is, but by analyzing the images that are on our
website or on our GMB. So that’s important to know because Google is using photos just like
the text and the review to parse out who you are, what you do, and then match you with people
that are searching.
By getting into a habit of reviewing images the public adds to your profile, optimizing your own
images, and removing any images that are no longer relevant to your business, you can
establish a credible and trustworthy appearance on your GMB that will help you stand out
among the competition.
3) Google Guaranteed badge appears more often on the local 3pack
With many rumors and as many users are reporting, Google is testing a 2Pack, instead of the
classic 3pack. In addition, Google seems to be testing how consumers react to Google
Guaranteed badges in places other than in Local Services Ads.
The presence of the Google Guaranteed badge on the profile and Local Pack may confer a
the consumertrust advantage that will result in higher CTRs.
