One day in July this year, we experienced extreme weathers with gusting winds and heavy rain. We rescued three baby raccoons that were trapped in the drainage pipeline of our property. This spot seemed to be the raccoon family’s favorite spot to reside. Two years ago, there brewed a similar storm and we were shocked to find drowned baby raccoons in a pond, just under the same drainage pipeline. We were too late. This year we managed to save all of them when the big gush of water came through the drainage pipe. When we picked them up from the water, they were cold, scared and had nowhere to go. We were hoping that their mother to come and look for the babies, but she never returned. Now my husband and I are looking after three orphaned baby raccoons.
