Its hot outside, so decided on a mostly inside project on our 1984 Wanderlodge PT40, installing a new backup and side view camera system. Our old CRT system was working for quite a while, but finally the image was getting where you could not really use it anymore. On these early Wanderlodges this was also the only built in TV in the bus, believe it or not. There is a spot in the back of the bus that is made for a TV to be plugged in but it was not a built in TV. The TV plan is still in progress, we currently just set the TV on the dash and remove it for traveling.

I chose to go with a wired model as Wanderlodges are made of steel and I did not want issues with wireless cameras.

I also ordered additional 20 meter (65 feet) cables for the cameras at the rear. They were plenty long enough, even for the one I mounted on the engine hatch.
