These rugged units have a twostage, upward force, hydraulic pump ram. (The 250 Series’ ram is mounted on the top crosshead) The first stage is a high volume, lowpressure stage, then at 135 psi the pump automatically switches to the second stage, a low volume, high pressure flow used to maintain a continuous load rate from 2,000 to 200,000 pound force (lbf).

And Gilson’s unique 1/2hp system of the 250 and 300 series runs cooler and offers better load control. And all Gilson Concrete Compression Testing Machines have a highpressure safety valve that prevents use beyond maximum machine capacity, as well as a pressure bleed hole within the piston that helps avoid overextension of the ram.

The Concrete Compression Testing Machine Pro controller has a large display and a USB data port, and can store up to 700 test profiles. Both load and rate of load information are display during testing. And peak load and average load rate are automatically displayed at the conclusion of the test.

The Concrete Compression Testing Machine ProPlus controller has a larger 320 by 240 pixel screen and more data collection options, including specimen area and length, peak stress, and break type, plus menus displayed in either English or Spanish.

And both controllers exceed ASTM C39 and E4 requirement for accuracy, as well as have a NEMA4 rated moisture and dust proof enclosure for reliable service even within the harshest environments.
