Humans love music. It is an essential part of our lives. To humans, music is an instinct. But humans aren’t the only ones that have a musical instinct. Gibbons are also born with a music gene and have the ability to sing. Even the types of songs vary – from songs that hail a new morning, songs sung between partners, songs to hide from predators, and even songs to sing while fighting their enemy. It is an innate talent, a special ability that they are born with. Songs are a way to unite, and protect them from danger, which in some ways are similar to human chorus or military songs.
