The EDC (every day carry) flashlight is awesome! It's small, lightweight, easily accessible (can be a good or a bad depending on the person), magnetic, and absolutely packs a punch. My dad still carries his old hefty mag light in his truck, which is nice and all, but when he's away from the truck it can sure be a pain in the a$$ to hike back and forth with a tank in your hand. Especially when you rely on your hands to be free and available with your dog in tow. Anyways, I hooked him up with one of these and he loves it! The mag light can remain in the truck and he now has this Fenix light on him at all times. As for the headlamps it's simple. they are sleek, slim, lightweight, and powerful. I wear a headlamp often during SAR work, so I have a good sense of what to look for and appreciate. These are as good as they come.
