In this video, I process a large lot of gold bearing black sand concentrates from Montana and show you how it is done. Black Sand concentrates are a big deal that frustrate many new prospectors and old ones as well. The goal is to get a clean placer gold product that can be sold or melted down into a bar. Historic methods used toxic chemicals. But there are better alternatives now. Magnets, a little at a time, weak ones and then stronger. Black sand is iron minerals and they are magnetic, but if you are too aggressive, the magnets will suck up gold wit the back sand. Many prospectors find “Black Sand” kind of mysterious, but you can get the gold out easily, efficiently and safely if you follow this procedure.
