Duringthe last days of the war, Germans took their own lives en masse. Some were afraid of the Soviets, others could not imagine the world after the fall of Nazism.

The fear of the enemy and revenge was enormous.
Tens of thousands of Germans also felt guilty, they felt entangled in what happened during the war. Hitler was supported by millions, but when the specter of defeat stared into their eyes, many could not imagine what their world would look like after the war.

There was a grave atmosphere in the country.
The Germans, of course, knew why the whole world hated them, they knew about the crimes of their elites. The evidence that the Germans feared retaliation is very strong.

Today's episode is about the reasons that prompted thousands of Germans to take their own lives.
