Helendale also known as Silver Lakes is a truly unique place in the Mojave Desert. Tucked away in America's largest county, San Bernardino, it's become somewhat of hidden stop on Route 66 as the currently much more traveled 15 Freeway passes it by between Victorville and Barstow. With two lakes and tons of beautiful homes, this community isn't what you come to be used to when thinking of places in Victor Valley.
