The bonus tip I wanted to discuss is perfectly aligned with my second tip of finding reciters which you love and that is to IMPROVE and BEAUTIFY your recitation which is something the Prophet has told us to do according to the Sunnah. This also adds another element of the Quran besides listening to it, studying it, and pondering it. Reciting the Quran when I'm alone at home out loud is so much more enjoyable especially when I can notice my recitations getting better and better by the day. I wouldn't recommend to anyone imitate a specific reciter 100%, but as you listen more and more it builds upon your natural voice and natural recitation and levels of pitch which you already have the potential for.
