Timeline & Costs:

I began gender therapy and coming out April of 2007. (Cost per therapy session with insurance: $20. Cost per therapy session without insurance: $90.)

I started T on January 21, 2009. I have been injecting 50mg weekly since then. (Annual cost with health insurance $50. Annual cost without health insurance: $650 note that yearly visit to the endocrinologist costs $500 for the conversation and blood work..)

I had my name legally changed (no, I won't tell you my birth name!) September of 2009. (Cost to change it and all legal documents: $180240ish)

I had top surgery December 2009 with Dr. Melissa Johnson in Springfield, MA. (Cost: $7400, all fees included)

I had a hysterectomy January 2012 with Dr. Travias in Concord, MA. (Cost: $14,000)

I graduated college May 18, 2013 from Skidmore College, in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Total $ spent over 6 years on transition related expenses: Over $23,000
