DESCRIPTION
Beautiful, but demanding hike from Lake Braies to Croda del Becco in Alta Val Pusteria.
After leaving the car, you immediately immerse yourself in an enchanting environment: we are in the FanesSenesBraies Natural Park, one of the largest natural parks in Südtirol.
The excursion to the Croda del Becco is very beautiful, but if done in its entirety, it is suitable for trained hikers, because it is very long and some stretches from Forcella Sora Forno to the summit of Croda del Becco exposed and equipped with ropes.
From the Cima della Croda del Becco the panorama is fantastic and at 360 degrees.

ITINERARY
Gone. From the Lago di Braies hotel (car park 1496 m) take the dirt road keeping the lake on your left. Once you reach the bottom of the lake, at the foot of the Croda del Becco wall, the steep path 1 begins, which climbs up through the scree and takes us to high altitude. Once you reach the Forcella Sora Forno 2388 m, continue on path 1. Now the path is very steep and exposed, at times aided. Arrival at the Croda del Becco 4:30 am.
Return. From the summit of the Croda del Becco go down the same path to the Forcella Sora Forno 2388 m. Here you take a branch of path 1 and in 10 minutes you are at Rifugio Biella 2327 m now we are in Veneto. Return to the saddle and descend from path 1 to Lake Braies. Keeping the lake on your left, follow the path to the hotel and the car park 2:45 hours.
