I realllly do recommend getting solar and battery systems if you are in a position to do so.
Not only do you get free electricty, it also provides your house with free hot water (as the panels can send the excess to the immersion in your hot water tank if you buy a Solic 200 or equivalent). I'd also recomend getting a home battery system so you can: 1. run the house at night, 2. account for cloudy periods, 3. buy cheap overnight electricity to store and use during the day on rainy / winter days.
Although I got my install during the Feedintariff times the current price of electricty (and gas) means it makes sense to get solar if you're planning on staying put in your house at least 4,5 years.
I took lots of photos of the installation and always wanted to compile them into a video to inform others about the benefits of solar. I was so impressed with the benefits that I've since gone on to add more and more panels!
I initially had 14 panels, then I added 7 more on the back, 3 on the front, a few upgrades later and I now have 22 on the SW side and 4 on the NE side!
