Frank Lampard was accused of reaching the elite for being plugged in, but he ended up shutting people up with great goals. His terrible shots strained the nets across Europe and, despite being a fighting and courageous midfielder, he became one of the best passers and finishers in history. After leaving the West Ham academy, he captained the best Chelsea in history, becoming the player with the most goals with the blue shirt. He played one season at Manchester City before moving to MLS, where he ended a flawless career. That same year, 2014, the Chelsea captain also retired from the England team, with which he played 106 games and scored 29 goals during his 15 years as an international.
