This is a talk about my gggggrandfather Francis Somner (18031891), an early breeder of Dandie Dinmont Terrier dogs. The talk outlines his life and his history with the breed. He bred dogs while farming in Berwickshire, and later moved to Kelso in Roxburghshire. The talk was recorded for the 2021 Dandie Derby weekend in the Scottish Borders.
