The Aura 51 (ex New 51) is a new 50 ft catamaran from Fountaine Pajot shipyard. Also, Aura 51 is the successor of the most popular ocean cruiser Saba 50 (Saba 50 catamaran by Fountaine Pajot shipyard) also the Fountaine Pajot catamaran. Designers Olivier and Isabelle Rakuppo, while developing the Aura 51, took into account the advantages and disadvantages of the Saba 50 and created a sailing catamaran that is now becoming mega popular. And Fontaine Pajot experts figured out how to make the Aura 51 electric by supplying it with lithiumferum polymer batteries, electric motors with a hydro generator function and 2 kW of solar panels, which makes this electric catamaran quite ready to go to sea.
