Join us as we explore Fort Parker State Park near Mexia, TX. This Central Texas park was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the 1930s. It features tent and RV camping, screen shelters, cabins and group barracks. Fort Parker State Park sits on the Navasota River and Fort Parker Lake within an hour from Waco and less than 100 miles from Dallas.

In this video, we take you on a tour of Fort Parker State Park and share some of the unique features, the campgrounds, amenities and more. One quick clarification: Fort Parker Lake is completely within the state park, so you don't need a fishing license if you are fishing from a boat in the lake.
