The Admiralty Head Lighthouse is a major draw for visitors to the Ft Casey State park in Northwest Washington. And while it isn't as tall as many of the most famous lighthouses around the country it doesn't really need to be because the lighthouse was built on a high bluff overlooking the Straight of Juan De Fuca. The tower is only 30 ft tall from the land yet it's beam of light is about 108 ft above sea level.
