Foraging Yarrow To Make Tincture Making Yarrow Tincture

Follow
Trillium: Wild Edibles

In this video we'll forage some Yarrow from the wild to make our own Yarrow tincture. This is a powerful tincture that can be used externally and internally. Yarrow, or Achillea millefolium by its Latin name, is a powerful styptic and astringent herb that can be used to stop bleeding, relieve pain, and heal cuts and wounds. To make the tincture, you just need to simply collect your Yarrow and pick off the bad leaves. Then we'll take our good leaves and flowers and add them to our extractant to make the tincture. Once we've done this we just need to let it sit in a cool dark spot for up to 8 weeks. After that it is ready to strain and bottle.
