Ride with the crew of the sole surviving BR(W) Hawksworth 16xx Pannier no 1638 on Tenterden bank. A mile of 1 in 50 with 5on, a nice little trip in the summer sun on the Kent and East Sussex Railway.
Anorak fact although the 16xx class is chockfull of GWR DNA they date from 1949 so are really BR engines. Even though 1638 did run in GWR green on the KESR for some years!
